I finally, probably making me the final person in the universe, saw “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” and thoroughly enjoyed the hell out of it.

I was a bit concerned after the way J.J. lens flared the hell out of the new “Star Trek” movies, but I can say that I walked away feeling that the franchise is in good hands.

I’m left with a lot of lingering questions, but I’ll save those for another time. The plot wasn’t Shakespeare, but neither were the originals. My son Jack and I laughed, cheered, and cried.

It’s a great start to a new era of “Star Wars.”
